On March 19, 2024, the international standard ISO 24021-2:2024 Light gauge metal containers - Vocabulary and classification - Part 2: General cans "Thin walled metal containers - Terminology and classification - Part 2: General cans", jointly led by Suzhou Hycan Holdings Co., Ltd. and China Food Fermentation Industry Research Institute, with the participation of multiple relevant domestic enterprises and institutions, was officially released. This standard is the world's first basic international standard for general tanks, completed under the leadership of China.
On November 26, 2021, the project was officially approved and approved. Hycan Holdings R&D Center organized a project team, with Vice President of R&D Center General Manager Shen Huajia and Senior Engineer Huang Xiaolin providing comprehensive guidance on project progress. The project was led by Hycan Holdings Chairman's Assistant Shen Junjie and Dr. Wu Gang from the Chinese Academy of Food. Experts from countries such as China, Japan, Italy, and Russia were dispatched to participate in standard development work. The working group conducted research and discussion on the standard name, scope of application, main categories and contents of terminology, classification standards, etc. After multiple rounds of voting, a consensus was finally reached. ISO 24021-2:2024 was officially released on March 19, 2024.
